The responsibilities of a plumbing technician include diagnosing plumbing issues, offering solutions to customers, completing repairs, maintaining their service vehicle, assisting other plumbers with tasks, and providing excellent customer service. The installer can expect to complete most jobs on their own. The job requires work indoors and outdoors. Pay is hourly with sales commissions and project bonuses.

The responsibilities of a plumbing technician include diagnosing plumbing issues, offering solutions to customers, completing repairs, maintaining their service vehicle, assisting other plumbers with tasks, and providing excellent customer service. The installer can expect to complete most jobs on their own. The job requires work indoors and outdoors. Pay is hourly with sales commissions and project bonuses.
Major duties:
- Diagnosing problems, determining corrective action, and performing repairs.
- Determining the right tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete a job.
- Ensuring projects are completed within the project scope and budget.
- Ensure that all work is in accordance with federal, state, and local plumbing codes.
- Cleaning the job site after the work is completed.
- Answering client questions.
- Following instructions.
Required:
- Valid Driver's License.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to learn on the job, go through training and progress responsibility as a technician.
- Adept at using the basic tools of the trade.
- Manual dexterity.
- Strong active listening skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent work ethic and ability to work independently
- Problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in crawlspaces and attics.
Typical working conditions and hazards:
- Work is performed in all weather conditions.
- Able to perform duties with protective equipment.
