About the Job
Assures the guest rooms and public areas of the hotel exceed brand standards for cleanliness and orderliness, and that the housekeeping staff exceeds brand standards for friendliness and helpfulness to the guest. Provides support to the room attendants, laundry attendants, and housekeeping supervisory staff in a timely and efficient manner. Shift is 3:00 p.m.- 11:00 pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
To work as a member of the team and in conjunction with the supervisors and room attendants maintaining a high standard of cleaning in the guest sleeping room area of the hotel and in the public areas of that section of the hotel assigned to the team. The following include the essential duties and responsibilities of this job (other duties may be assigned):
· Moves and arranges furniture.
· Rotate mattresses and box spring in accordance to standard.
· Polishes metalwork.
· Collects soiled linens for laundering, and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closet.
· Stocks room attendant carts and linen closets with room supplies.
· Cleans rooms, hallways, bathrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, linen closets, storage areas, and other work areas.
· Sweeps and scrubs floor.
· Washes walls, ceiling and woodwork.
· Washes windows, door panels, and mirrors.
· Empty wastebaskets and room attendant cart of trash and transport to disposal area.
· Delivers ironing boards, baby cribs, rollaway beds, and other guest requests to guest rooms.
· Cleans and removes debris from loading dock.
· Stores supplies as received.
· Assists in supply and linen inventories.
· Washes and polishes water glasses, then stacks in linen closet.
· Cleans parking lot and empties outside trash receptacles.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Less than high school diploma. No experience required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors and fellow associates.

REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to make appropriate judgments relative to the process of supporting the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms/public areas.

HOURS
Due to the business demand of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any associate may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demand, hours may be reduced at any time.
