Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Podiatrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care for patients with foot, ankle, and lower extremity conditions. The Podiatrist will diagnose and treat a variety of ailments, perform surgical procedures when necessary, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and promote overall wellness
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Podiatrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care for patients with foot, ankle, and lower extremity conditions. The Podiatrist will diagnose and treat a variety of ailments, perform surgical procedures when necessary, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and promote overall wellness
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with foot, ankle, and lower extremity conditions.
- Perform surgical procedures to correct deformities, treat injuries, and manage chronic conditions.
- Prescribe medications, orthotics, and other therapeutic devices as needed.
- Educate patients on foot care, injury prevention, and lifestyle changes to promote long-term health.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
- Stay current with advancements in podiatric medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards in podiatric practice
Qualifications
- Education: Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.) degree from an accredited podiatric medical school.
- Licensure: Valid state license to practice podiatric medicine.
- Certification: Board certification by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) or the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic and surgical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
