2018 Base Salary: $77,412 to $98,892 (MPO $87,096 to $98,892)

Hiring Bonus

• $10,000 paid in two increments
• 40 hours of vacation upon hire
• 40 hours of sick leave upon hire

Requirements:

• Must be a current Washington State Criminal Justice Training (WSCJTC) Academy-certified law enforcement officer or a current WSP Training Academy-certified law enforcement officer
• Must have been employed on a full-time basis for at least 12 consecutive months in good standing.
• Any lapse of employment as a full-time commissioned law enforcement officer shall not exceed the previous 24 months, calculated from the date of appointment with the City of Des Moines.
