Position Summary:
We are actively seeking experienced police officers to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Emergency Response: Respond to routine, urgent, and emergency calls for service, providing timely assistance and support.
- Law Enforcement: Perform preventive patrols, enforce laws, statutes, and ordinances, and handle potential and actual police hazards.
- Traffic Control: Direct and control traffic to ensure vehicles and pedestrians' safe and efficient movement.
- Crime Scene Management: Protect accident and crime scenes to maintain evidence control.
- Investigations: Conduct preliminary investigations of suspicious and criminal activities, and prepare detailed records and reports.
- Criminal Apprehension: Pursue, apprehend, and transport individuals threatening public safety.
- Traffic Enforcement: Conduct traffic enforcement to reduce accidents and deter unlawful driving behavior.
- Assist in the conviction of unlawful behavior through enforcement, investigative and court support activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- High school graduate or GED certificate.
- If an Armed Forces of the United States of America Veteran, must have received a discharge under Honorable Conditions.
- Must meet all Missouri Police Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) certification requirements for a 1st class charter county (Class A) prior to start date.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age by graduation from Police Academy.
- Must have a Motor Vehicle Operator's License valid in the state of Missouri.
- Must pass required testing.

Salary and Benefits:
- Police Recruit Salary: $58,884.80
- Starting Salary: $75,324.60* (Patrol Division)
- Lateral Salary: $75,324.60 - $79,893.84 (Patrol Division)
- Top Out Salary: $107,445.00* (Attainable in 15 Years, Patrol Division)
