DutiesAs a Policy Data Analyst, some of your typical work assignments may include:Preparing and presenting original written and verbal communications and guidance
Communications and documents will include parts (or all) of rulemakings, public notices, reports, program guidance, research findings and recommendations, data requirements analyses, and other relevant deliverables
Audiences may include FERC management and staff, other government agencies, and members of the public.Promoting, enabling, and implementing data governance and stewardship policies that facilitate data collection, shared data assets, mission collaboration, and data quality, while fostering the maturation of data management strategies and policies.Planning and conducting relevant research and analysis of Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) and Regulatory Flexibility Act (RFA) matters, in addition to federal regulations and guidance
Researching and analyzing Commission and public documents, evaluating information requirements to ensure support of FERC's mission, and supporting the design of information collections that result in shared, understood data assets.Collaborating effectively with Program Office staff and OMB in performing information collection activities in support of customers' needs
Collaborating effectively within Branch to empower and enable timely delivery of compliance filings, work artifacts and outputs, and addressing the needs of customers as well as the goals and objectives of the Data Governance Division.Planning, balancing, executing, and tracking numerous, disparate, simultaneous compliance activities and other strategic projects in different stages and of varying lengths, priorities, sensitivities, and complexities
Assisting in budget formulation and resource allocation and supporting risk management activities in support of the Data Governance Division.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentYou must be a U.S

Specialized experience is defined as: Significant experience in policy and data analysis, data policy and governance, requirements and research, project management, contractor oversight, and developing recommendations, reports, rules, notices, and memoranda.Knowledge of the Paperwork Reduction Act and Regulatory Flexibility Act is preferred.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social)
