Description
Under the supervision of the Manager, this position works independently and conducts polysomnographic testing. The PSGT safely operates sophisticated medical equipment used to record sleep/wake physiology, explains procedures, prepares patients and applies recording devices. Key responsibilities include monitoring polygraph recordings and audio/visual equipment to ensure patient safety, test quality, sleep/wake data and other physiological events.

Required Qualifications:
+ California Polysom Technologist License upon hire.
+ National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire or
+ National Certified Polysomnographic Technician - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire.
+ 1 year experience as a polysomnographic technologist; 2 years preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Associate's Degree in Polysomnography
+ Membership in Association of Polysomnographic Technologist (APT) or American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) upon hire.
