Selectek has a full-time opportunity for a seasoned Port Facility Project Manager with a leading provider of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for industrial port facilities across North America. You'll oversee all aspects of bulk material handling projects, ensuring they meet client specifications, stay on schedule, and adhere to budget constraints.
What you'll do:
- Plan and schedule every stage of brownfield port facility projects.
- Masterfully manage project documentation, budgets, schedules, and resources using SAP Business ByDesign, MS Office, and MS Project.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project goals and deliver on time.
- Coordinate effectively with engineering resources and international manufacturing subcontractors.
- Foster clear communication and aligned objectives with clients on both technical and commercial aspects.
- Manage project changes, both financial and schedule-related, to maintain a controlled risk profile.
- Provide monthly reports on project finances, schedules, scope, and delivery.
- Oversee engineering, manufacturing, transportation, construction, and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with contracts and industry standards.
- Guarantee performance meets established benchmarks and address any warranty issues.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify valuable lessons learned for future endeavors.
We're looking for someone with:
- A Bachelor of Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in international project management, with a focus on port facilities.
- A proven track record of managing projects exceeding $50 million USD, from EPC negotiations to client acceptance.
- Expertise in navigating government contracts, conditions, and technical specifications.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to exceptional results.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities to manage diverse project teams and build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of heavy industrial equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components, along with steel fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
- Extensive international experience coordinating engineering, procurement, and equipment delivery across various regions (Asia, Europe, Canada, Mexico) to North American jobsites.
A plus if you have:
- A Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience in conveying and storage equipment for bulk materials.
- A willingness and proven ability to travel domestically and internationally (North America, Asia, Europe).
