Porter/Technician - Habitat America

Habitat America, LLC is seeking a entry level fulltime Porter/Tech in Baltimore City, Maryland! This fast growing, property management company is largely based in the Mid-Atlantic region. 

Applicants who are qualified for this position have basic maintenance experience. Very basic experience with appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall and painting are a plus but not required. It is imperative that the Porter be able to work independently and also as a member of a team.

This position is primarily responsible for keeping the building and grounds clean and assisting the Maintenance Technicians when needed.  In addition to grounds, the position will assist with entry level technical maintenance tickets, assist with unit turnovers and be part of the after-hours on-call rotation.  The Porter/Tech directly reports to the Community Manager. Hourly wage is dependent on experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Energetic, self-motivated individual who is able to work as a team
• Basic maintenance experience is desired but not required; experience painting, drywall, basic electrical & plumbing are a plus
• Prior grounds keeping or porter experience is a plus
• Must have a pleasant and professional demeanor at all times
• Must have reliable transportation and possess valid driver's license
• Requires extensive mobility and excellent physical condition
• Must be able and willing to work weekends and be part of an on call rotation
