Job Description:
The Portfolio Administrator is responsible for supporting the management of investment portfolios by ensuring accurate record-keeping, processing transactions, and monitoring portfolio performance. Key tasks include reconciling portfolio holdings, maintaining up-to-date client records, assisting with trade execution, preparing reports, and coordinating with portfolio managers to implement investment strategies. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in portfolio management software and financial systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and reconcile portfolio holdings and transactions.
- This individual will be responsible for creating and managing the Bank's Tickler Report monitoring all credit metrics for each commercial loan in the portfolio.
- Prepare the financial request letters to be mailed to the borrowers requesting updated financial information and will mail out and follow up with each borrower to ascertain receipt of the required annual updates.
-Responsible for tracking non-receipt of updated financials and preparing the monthly Fee Assessment Report detailing borrowers who have not complied.
- Assist in the preparation of performance reports for clients and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and account documentation.
- Responsible for conducting annual reviews on existing and proposed credit administration vendors (i.e. appraisers, engineers, environmental companies, etc.).
- Support trade execution and settlement processes.
- Communicate with internal teams, clients, and custodians to resolve discrepancies.
- Provide general administrative support to portfolio managers and analysts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Experience (1-2 years) in portfolio administration, preferably with a community bank.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Credit training (formal or on the job) at a commercial bank, credit union or community development financial institution.
- Experience with loan, legal, collateral documentation and compliance.
-Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
