The Portfolio Training Manager is a managerial role acting as the main point of contact overseeing the complete governance of T5FM’s Training Program which includes, but is not limited to technical, administrative, and process-driven training for all data centers across T5FM’s portfolio. The successful candidate will be accountable and ultimately responsible for providing a central point of leadership reporting directly to Technical Operations and has complete operational oversight of the programs, processes, and requirements for an industry leading training program. Individuals considered for this opportunity are self-starters, team builders, masters or process management and administrative experts possessing a thorough command of what it takes to manage the full spectrum of training needs for a continuously diverse portfolio.
- Identify and define strategic training objectives throughout the portfolio and design, plan, and implement programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs.
- Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
- Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the T5FM and/or the data center industry.
- Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
- Collaborates & coordinate with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training options or requirements.
- Guide and manage local and remote data center operational teams with a goal of 100% compliance to T5FM’s pre-defined training requirements.
- Ensure consistent quality and adherence to client and T5FM-driven operational standards across multiple sites.
- Conduct recurring collaboration meeting with management and site training representatives throughout the portfolio on a regular and recurring basis to drive cohesion and knowledge growth.
- Responsible for reporting on a regular and recurring basis regarding all aspects of T5FM training requirements.
- Train end-users on utilizing LMS system and other training tools as applicable.
- Review training program feedback on a regular and recurring basis.
- Prepares and implements non-site-specific training budget.
- Ensure recurring training program assessments are included with the technical operations site assessments and track action items to drive toward compliance with T5FM training requirements.
- Conduct site visits in accordance with approved budget to facilitate assessments in-person, facilitate the growth of, and reinforcement of T5FM culture, and develop strong working relationships.
- Pursue training consultation opportunities and revenue generation training creation projects at direction of T5FM senior leadership.
- Participate in Technical Operations projects as availability dictates.
- All other duties consistent with your role as you may be assigned by T5FM senior leadership.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent mission-critical data center experience managing large enterprise-level
- or wholesale/retail data center facilities, advanced degrees preferred
- Prior executive-level interaction experience with client is a must
- Although this is a leadership role, the ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of critical
- mechanical/electrical infrastructure systems related to data center operations, as well as the IT networks
- supporting the customer’s business initiatives
- 7+ years’ experience in mission critical data center environment(s)
- 5+ years’ personnel management experience
- Travel for this position is estimated at up to 25%

- Ability to assemble, develop, and lead highly technical and diverse teams
- Project management expertise, including the ability to understand the scope, planning, and management of
- large-scale data center projects to include the installation and commissioning of new equipment or facilities and
- the replacement of legacy equipment
- Strong financial acumen including the ability to create and understand annual capex and opex budgets, financial
- analysis, and invoicing
- Able to prioritize work based on shifting business and customer demands
- Able to work within all levels of the organization
- Able to participate and engage in C-level discussions and conversations pertinent to facility operations on a daily
- basis
- Able to articulate concepts and ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
- Able to plan and lead customer-requested business reviews and audits
- Able to understand IT and electrical / mechanical system concepts, as well as other technical aspects of facilities
- management
- Able to read and understand complex drawings, systems, and other operational documentation
