As the ESL Teacher, you will thrive in a collaborative and innovative environment, providing tailored instruction to English Language Learners (ELL) that meets state and school standards. Your role will be to foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere while achieving strong outcomes in a dynamic, results-driven setting.
Position Summary:
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate English language development across all subject areas.
- Provide individualized and small group lessons tailored to meet the unique needs of ELL students.
- Create an inclusive, welcoming, and safe classroom environment that fosters student growth.
- Establish clear expectations for behavior to promote a productive and secure learning environment.
- Evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure continuous development.
- Craft lessons for ELL students, aligned with both school and state standards.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required (A Master’s degree in TESOL or a related field is highly preferred.)Prior experience as an ESL Teacher or in a related teaching role. Illinois PEL with ESL endorsement. Previous experience working with students from diverse language and cultural backgrounds.
