Role Overview:
In this role, you'll act as the primary point of contact between our Federal customer, vendors, finance team, and acquisition departments. You'll manage the grants administration process, focusing on both post-award and closeout activities, ensuring everything runs smoothly and complies with all regulations.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with the grant closeout process and strong contract management skills. They should possess a deep understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), relevant agency procedures, and the Single Audit Act, along with expertise in records management to ensure compliance and accuracy in all documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Post-Award:
- Draft and process amendments for client review.
- Create and analyze financial reports using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Prepare findings reports for the grants officer.
- Reconcile invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies.
- Review grant files, collect missing documentation, and alert the grants officer for corrective action.
Closeout:
- Perform financial analysis to support grant closeout and pre-amendments.
- Provide administrative support for the end-of-performance period closeout.
- Coordinate with grantees and government representatives as needed.
- Track closeout and amendment activities meticulously in databases and spreadsheets.
- Ensure compliance with OMB circulars and agency-specific policies.
- Analyze reconciliations for de-obligation amounts and report on contract/grant closeout amendments.
- Draft and submit contract modifications for review by the responsible contracting officer.
- Prepare documentation in accordance with Agency Standards and FAR requirements.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in Grants or Acquisition with Federal agencies.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Word.
- Strong financial review skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of grant closeout procedures and administrative requirements.
- Familiarity with Grants Solutions (highly preferred).
