The Rush University Alzheimer's Disease Center (RADC) is leading experimental and epidemiological center for the study of Alzheimer's disease, which has no preventative drugs, and is expected to soon triple in incidence. Over the past two decades, the RADC has carried out numerous community-based cohort studies to better understand Alzheimer's disease and aging.
We are seeking a highly motivated full-time Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to join our innovative Alzheimer's Disease Center department at Rush University Medical Center !
General Summary:
Scientist to work on NIH-funded studies of cognitive aging in a stimulating multi-disciplinary environment.
Position Responsibilities :
· Work with aging populations in community-based and office-based settings, aiding in protocol development, data collection, and statistical analyses, for multiple studies, including those involving organ donation.
· Will gain experience in epidemiologic study design.
· Participate with faculty and other fellows and trainees, in the development of research manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Prepare a research proposal for extramural support
Position Requirements :
· Ph.D., MD, or equivalent in Neuroscience, Epidemiology, or related field required.
· Knowledge of epidemiology or cohort study design and statistical analyses is desired.
· Expertise in cognitive aging research desirable, but not essential.
· Strong skills in writing, good communication, and team building skills are required.
