Position: Post Graduation Service Coordinator
Position Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to provide supportive services that benefit high school littles in their pursuit towards enrollment, enlistment, employment (3E) tracks post high school in addition to assisting in the successful transition of high school littles to the Big Futures/ alumni mentoring program.
Outcomes/Goals |
Track High School Youth interests, as it relates to their future steps. - Facilitate a process to get to know the individual interests and priorities of rising juniors and seniors.
- Maintain documentation to track the interests and priorities of students.
- Use the information you have gained regarding the interests and priorities of students to make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with all high school juniors and seniors to help them navigate future focused choices.
- Execute a minimum of six (6) activities annually specific to High School students.
- Ensure activities are based on the interests and priorities of the students, including but not limited to college/university campus visits, Scholarship Night and Behind the Scenes: Career Exposure.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues to share information about the E3 pathways (employment, enrollment & enlistment) and useful tools and resources for preparing for their next steps.
- Share resources with students and their caring adults (Parents, Bigs, etc.) within the E3 pathways that are relevant to Junior and Senior Year students.
- Support agency colleagues as they need information, for example high school newsletter, etc.
- Create and use a electronic system or requests between match support and BF for services.
- Coordinate Workforce Development Programming aimed at young people 15-25:
- Assist to formalize a process to create a professional development cohort experience, with 35- 50 participants.
- Assist with creating job shadowing opportunities, develop workshops, career exposure, & behind the scenes activities

EDUCATION & RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE |
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field; or Associate's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in a related field required
- Experience in working with adolescent to young adult population (specifically high school aged youth)
- Knowledge and experience working in secondary and/or post-secondary institutions preferred.
- Experience in program and project management, youth program development, career services, and/or workforce development, strongly preferred
- Experience working with and supporting diverse populations
QUALIFICATIONS - Strong project planning and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Effective cross-cultural communication skills
- Must values diversity in all forms and maintains sensitivity to the culture and demographics of our service region
- Event coordination experience
- Effective communication skills, including written communication
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work with a variety of staff, volunteers & families
- Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and via phone interactions

Work Environment/Physical Requirements
- Technology/computer skills needed. Proficient in the following platforms: MS Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, & Teams); Outlook, & Zoom.
- Flexible work hours to meet the needs of youth and young adults, may include nights and weekends.
- In person visits are a required part of the job (at school, at home or in community)
- Must have car, valid driver's license, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary will be based upon professional and academic experience (salary range - $44,000-$46,000)
- 401(k)-3% match per year following first year of employment.
- .625 cents reimbursement on business miles and 100% of out-of-office parking for business meetings, etc.
- Immediate and 100% coverage on health and dental insurance.
- Life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance following the first ninety days of employment.
- After 90 days staff will receive 5 days of paid vacation and 10 days of paid vacation after one year of service.
- Accrue 1 day per month of sick leave (can also be used for family illnesses)-can carry up to 30 days of sick leave.
- 2 personal days per year following the first 90 days of employment.
- Annual raises based on performance, culture, and agency's ability.
- 11 paid holidays.
