We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Scientist to join our dynamic team at the Lilly Biotechnology Center in San Diego, CA. The successful candidate will play a key role in our antibody-enabled membrane protein discovery projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on groundbreaking research and contribute to the development of novel therapeutic strategies.
Responsibilities:
Design and execute experiments to discover and engineer antibodies to biologically relevant conformations of membrane proteins.
Develop and optimize novel protocols for antibody generation, screening, and validation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate findings into broader research projects.
Analyze and interpret experimental data and present findings at internal and external meetings.
Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Basic Requirements:
Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Strong background in antibody technology and membrane protein biology such as GPCRs.
Experience in protein engineering and characterization.
Experience with techniques such as protein expression, purification, and characterization.
Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
Experience with display technologies (e.g., phage display, yeast display, or mammalian display).
Experience with flow cytometry and fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience of cell-based assay for GPCR targets.
The successful candidate must be available to start latest by January 2025.

This position is not permanent. It is for a fixed duration of two years with potential to extend to 3 years. You will have opportunities to apply for full time positions after your duration is complete.
