PostgreSQL Database Administrator - Top Stack

We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator to design, implement, and maintain high-performing PostgreSQL environments. This hybrid role requires being in the office one day a week while allowing for flexibility to work remotely. The ideal candidate will develop robust, scalable solutions that meet business needs, ensure database security, and optimize database performance. Strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this position.
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPANY HIGHLIGHTS:

• Design and implement scalable and robust PostgreSQL databases.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues through indexing, query optimization, and resource management.
• Develop and manage backup strategies, including point-in-time recovery, replication, and disaster recovery.
• Implement security policies to ensure data protection and compliance.
• Set up monitoring tools to manage database health, uptime, and capacity planning.

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years in PostgreSQL database administration.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL architecture and configuration.
• Proficiency in SQL query tuning, index management, and optimization.
