Title: Pourline Process Manager
Global Tier 1 & 2 automotive supplier seeks a FOAM LINE PROCESS MANAGER for their Greensboro, NC plant.
SUMMARY:
The primary function of the Foam Line Process Manager is to oversee day-to-day production from a process perspective. Including but not limited to modifying the production schedule to optimize yield, ensure overall process health through
maintenance and daily process checks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Follow all general safety regulations and use provided safety equipment as required.
Understand ISO 9001 requirements / company's Quality Policy. Always follow work instructions and procedures as established through company's Quality Policy.
Maximization of yield through process improvements and projects.
Oversee production staff and modify job tasks to improve efficiency
Manage development and duties of process engineers.
Be able to formulate based on given foam specifications and trial goals.
Troubleshoot issues to ensure scheduled production is met on time and in-spec.
Effectively communicate with Materials Department regarding inventory and/or pouring issues daily.
Work closely with Materials / scheduling to produce a “best yield” pour schedule daily.
Other duties may be assigned as needed by the employee’s Manager.
Understand and utilize the MRP system (CMS).
Manager the cross training functions of others and maintain records of cross training.
Report daily production numbers within network system.
Report daily production issues to Factory Manager and Technical personnel.
Control overtime daily. The goal for overtime should be zero.
Conduct a monthly physical inventory.
Be proficient in the use of E-mail, CMS system, Excel and Word.
Develop useful spreadsheets to track yield and performance.
Maintain a yield report by grade.
Develop formulas and enter them into CMS as needed.
Maintain formulas.
Make formula adjustments as needed.
Manager HR issues within department.
Conduct departmental meetings Monthly to evaluate measurables.
Must conduct yourself in a professional manner when interacting with internal and external customers.
Keep area neat, organized and clean as well as follow 5S principles as they areappropriate.
Other duties may be assigned as needed by the employee’s manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees on the Pourline. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization & policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining
employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Four-year degree from a university or college in Engineering, Chemistry or a related field; One to three years related production experience in management and or
Supervision role; Microsoft Excel / Word / MRP system preferred. Experience in formulating and modifying polyurethane formulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents and training materials such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Strong
interpersonal and oral communication skills are required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
The mathematical skills required are those that come with an engineering degree.
Including but not limited to university level algebra, transport, heat transfer and fluid flow phenomena. Manipulation of production numbers to calculate yields, usages, and various other process indicators.
REASONING ABILITY:
A strict logical approach to problem solving and decision making that is based on facts and verifiable figures. This must extend to higher engineering theory and practice.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Standard work hours will consist of eight hours per day, five days per week on an assigned shift.
Schedule hours may be altered as required by business conditions. This may be more (or less) than eight hours per day or five days per week. An ability to work
overtime or irregular hours to include Saturdays, Sundays and holidays is essential for this position.
EQUIPMENT USED:
The tools and equipment used vary from the Periphlex foam line itself to small handtools to a PC loaded with Microsoft Office.
