Power BI Specialist - AAA Life Insurance Company

AAA Life Insurance Company is seeking a Power BI Specialist within the Strategic Planning & Analytics team! The Power BI Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to Power BI users. This role involves solving issues, guiding users on standard methodologies, and offering training and support to improve the value of Power BI within the organization.

• Administration – Handle deployment and maintenance of Power BI solutions. Manage environment including user permissions, data security, and system performance.
• Technical Support – Provide timely and effective support for Power BI issues, including solving problems with reports, dashboards, and data models.
• Training – Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users to enhance their proficiency using Power BI.
• User Assistance – Guide users on standard methodologies for data visualization and report design. Assist with the creation and modification of reports and dashboards.
• Documentation – Create and maintain user documentation, tutorials, and knowledge base articles to empower users to build and maintain reports/dashboards.
• Continuous Improvement – Identify and recommend enhancements to the Power BI environment to improve user experience and system efficiency.
• Communication – Effectively communicate with users to gather feedback and provide support.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related technical field or professional certification required.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Power BI Tenant Administrator ensuring that the platform is deployed and used securely, efficiently, and in compliance with organizational policies.
• Four years' experience using, building, and optimizing Power BI dataflows, along with expertise in working with deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with data modeling, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), and report generation.
• Previous experience leading Power BI training for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to solve technical issues effectively.
• Demonstrable ability to collaborate effectively with partners at all levels, including executive leadership.
