Position Overview: The Director of Human Resources will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role is critical in aligning our HR strategy with the company's business objectives, ensuring a high-performance culture, and driving continuous improvement in HR policies and practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management within the construction industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Provide strategic HR advice to senior management and act as a business partner to support organizational goals.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and create development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Implement leadership development programs to build a strong pipeline of future leaders.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Manage workplace safety and health programs in coordination with the safety department.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Oversee the development and administration of compensation and benefits programs.
- Conduct regular market analysis to ensure competitive compensation packages.
- HR Metrics and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
- Prepare and present HR reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required. A Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of HR management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, within the construction industry.
- Certifications: Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.

- Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
