is hiring an Application Engineer for our Power Systems Division in Manassas, Virginia
The Application Engineer is responsible for assisting consulting engineers and contractors in designing power system facilities and equipment, including Power quality equipment
Seeking candidates with minimum of five years’ experience in electrical power systems required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering required.
Requirements for the Application Engineer position include:
Must be a strong communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize competing deadlines.
Must be able to train new Engineers effectively.
Must have good attention to detail.
Ability to perform calculations for sizing or circuit breakers, wires, and disconnects.
Must be able to prepare and read drawings to be used in construction and equipment installation
Must be able to write and modify specifications; read and interpret contract documents.
Must be able to travel to various sites.
Proven ability to understand, interpret and meet complex customer needs through the preparation of proposal and other documentation.

Physical requirements must be met for the Application Engineer job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
