About the Job
We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead our Pre-Construction team and to work in partnership with estimators and operations to identify business opportunities, manage the estimate and proposal process, and grow our relationship with our customers.
The individual needs to be experienced in conceptual budgeting for industrial, healthcare, education, and commercial sectors. They need to haver proven experience with negotiated work, collaborating with an estimating team and have exceptional leadership skills. Partnering with customers must be a high priority along with building long-term relationships based on respect and trust. The ideal candidate needs to embrace the firm's operating philosophy and culture. The position is based in Nashville with little to no travel. Expertise in process piping, and process ventilation systems are preferred.
• Manage the estimating, buyout, and submittal process
• Create a clear scope of work
• Develop comparative estimates based on various design options
• Develop accurate estimates from schematic design documents
• Create conceptual estimates during early project stages before drawings are complete
• Negotiate jobs and also estimate in a hard bid market as necessary
• Oversee project planning related to equipment and subcontractors
• Negotiate multi-million-dollar equipment contracts
• Communicate material ordering requirements to the purchasing team
• Manage front-end buyout and project set-up for Project Managers
• Provide leadership, assign duties and evaluate effectiveness
