About the Job
Job Summary
Responsible for the supervision and coordination of the Prequalification Department. The Prequalification Department evaluates potential subcontractors to lay the foundation for successful project outcomes and mitigate the risk of subcontractor default.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analyze subcontractor financial information to establish prequalification limits and communicate prequalification decisions to relevant parties.
2. Develop and present training material to relevant stakeholders regarding established prequalification policies and procedures.
3. Establish and monitor prequalification policies and procedures to ensure they align with industry standards and organizational goals.
4. Fosters positive relationships with subcontractors to enhance communication and collaboration.
5. Identify and assess potential risks associated with each subcontractor. Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks or recommend disqualification if risks are deemed too high.
6. Monitor and manage the receipt of prequalification information for new and renewal subcontractors in TradeTapp database.
7. Perform internal audits of projects to monitor compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
8. Prepare reports on notable subcontractor prequalification trends to be used for corporate financial planning and analysis.
9. Supervise a staff of up to 3 employees in the Prequalification Department.
Minimum Job Requirements
1. At least a four-year degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree program and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
2. CPA or working towards a CPA certificate preferred.
3. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
4. Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to read and interpret financial statements.
5. Must possess strong computer skills.
6. Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.

5. Will lift, push or pull objects up to 50Ibs on an occasional basis.
6. Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day.
7. Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors
