Join us. **Job Description** AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Intern to be based in Indianapolis, IN This position is expected to begin in Summer 2025. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks. + Assist with development of a project prior to on-site construction activities + Cost Estimating – determine quantities utilizing a traditional 2D takeoff tool such as On-Screen Takeoff or 3D model quantities utilizing a program such as Assemble. + Schedule Development – review project documentation to determine scope involved to assist in creating a preliminary project schedule. + Logistics Planning – study characteristics of the project site to determine best approach to phasing, access, and laydown areas. + Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff. + Meets required schedules while producing quality work. + Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study. As evidenced by our long list of repeat clients, we focus on specific needs to create strong relationships and consistently exceed expectations. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or similar discipline and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience working for a large general contractor. * Previous relevant internship experience. * Exposure to other construction-based computer programs. * Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and Outlook), as well as exposure to other construction-based computer programs. **Additional Information** * Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. * Relocation assistance is available for this position. * Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre- employment substance abuse test. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
