Preconstruction Manager
The primary purpose of this position is to lead preconstruction efforts on a project including conceptual estimating, detailed estimating, scheduling, construct-ability analysis, value management, BIM, subcontractor/supplier involvement, procurement, and transition to the construction team. This position requires active collaboration with Owner's, Architect's, Engineer's, Consultant's and Supplier's to deliver a successful project.
The Preconstruction Manager will a take an active role in regional industry organizations, develop and maintain subcontractor relationships, be knowledgeable regarding regional/national commodity markets and assist in the pursuit and development of new project opportunities
Supervisory Responsibilities
- The Preconstruction Manager will work with other managers (i.e. Chief Estimator, Regional Managers, etc.) to ensure that the necessary resources are committed to complete the required preconstruction services. Directives and assignments made by the Preconstruction Manger shall carry the same weight and authority as an assignment made by the employee-owner's direct supervisor. The Preconstruction Manager shall coordinate with the employee-owner's direct supervisor to limit overlapping assignments.
