Predictive Maintenance Technician – Decatur, Illinois
This is an Non-Exempt level position.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Utilize computer systems to trend and analyze data, identify failure modes and equipment history to address repetitive failures
+ Utilize CMMS to create work requests
+ Conduct vibration data collection and analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound data collection, greasing, and analysis, and oil sample collection and analysis (this includes completing oil filtration and drain and fills as required) to monitor all plant equipment
+ Complete lubrication daily routes in each Department
+ Monitor equipment conditions, report findings, and thoroughly document issues
+ Communicate and work effectively with multiple levels of leadership and departments to coordinate Predictive Maintenance work order completion
+ Actively contribute to Continuous Improvement
+ Assist in the training of other colleagues
+ Maintain knowledge of equipment, operations, and processes throughout the plant
+ Work with vendors/contractors for process improvements
+ Effectively navigate through the Maximo system (CMMS) including creating work orders, entering MR’s, searching Assets, and creating excel files documenting issues and corrective actions.
+ Troubleshoot maintenance issues throughout the facility
+ Participate in Daily Safety Toolbox Talks, Meetings, and respond to email as necessary
+ Perform duties in a safe manner, utilizing all approved safety equipment, and PPE (Required PPE includes; Hard Hat, Steel Toe Boots, Eye protection, Hearing protection, gloves, and wear provided uniform daily)
Required Skills:
+ Understanding of Reliability Centered Maintenance
+ Be able to identifying and resolving chronic mechanical asset concerns (bad actors).
+ Active participation in root cause analysis program for major failures.
+ Drive resolution of highest impact issues with a strong sense of urgency and integrity.
+ Able to lift and move 50lbs
+ Ability to ascend/descend stairways, ladders, and catwalks (some at considerable height) over the majority of your work day
+ Be on your feet walking/moving around over the majority of your work day
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, OneNote, 360, etc.)
+ Able to comply with repetitive use of limbs, hands, and fine manipulation through the use of testing equipment
+ Ability to work in extreme temperatures fluctuations, both hot and cold
Education / Certification Requirements (minimum):
+ Machine Lubrication Technician
Required Experience:
+ 5 years progressive experience as a Millwright with experience in machine lubrication
+ Proven use of computer software such as UAS3, AMS, CMMS, and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Vision, Outlook, Word)
Desired Experience:
+ Proven familiarity with standard reliability and maintenance strategies such as planning, PM programs, and PdM programs
