About the Job
The Prep 1 position has the responsibility of learning the process to prepare raw material and manufacturing parts for paint application.
$18-$20/HOUR
Previous Auto Body experience a plus!!!
Responsibilities:- Assist with the preparation of all materials to be painted, including grinding, sanding, acid washing, under the guidance of a Prep 2 employee or Painter.
- Cleans and helps maintain paint preparation equipment, paint booths and the prep, paint, and storage areas.
- Responsibility for helping maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep room and drying areas.
- Operate forklift for material transport upon completion of MPI forklift training.
- Operate chain hoists and lift tables upon completion of MPI training.
- Learn and follow all Personal Protection Procedure Program requirements.
- Learn and follow all OSHA and MPI safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by management
PREVIOUS AUTO BODY EXPERIENCE A PLUS!!!
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers when necessary.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic calculations and measurements.
- Proper use of small power and hand tools.
