Overview:Under the general supervision of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef/Kitchen Supervisors, the Cold Food Prep Cook is responsible for preparing food and assisting in the preparation of items in the Cold kitchen operations throughout the facility. The Cook should understand the proper cooking, Preparation and holding procedures to not sacrifice quality or freshness of product.
The Prep Cook must maintain excellent attendance and be available to worhk days, nights, weekends, holidays and events as scheduled per business need.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $15 to $17

This position will remain open until Dec 31, 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine kitchen tasks.
- Create and Follow a prep list as directed to plan duties.
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
- Prepare ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other cold food prep.
- Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
- Set up, refill, and break down salad bars, deli bars, breakfast bars and other locations as directed
- Undertake basic cooking duties, such as making sauces, dressings, sandwiches, wraps and cold food displays for events.
- Prepare simple dishes, such as salads, salad bar toppings, and cutting fruit, making various cold food recipes.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
- Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
- Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
- Maintain Refrigeration temperature logs daily
Qualifications:
- Able to operate standard kitchen equipment including the broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer and chef knife.
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- Organizational skills

- Ability to work under pressure
- Very good physical condition and endurance
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is desirable
- Training from a culinary school is an asset
- Proven experience as a prep cook
- Bi-Lingual a plus
