Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Lead the preparation of proteins, vegetables, sauces and other components of dishes.
- Wash, peel, chop, and cut vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, including workstations and storage areas.
- Planning and ordering of food stuff, receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team to prevent food shortages and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Participate in kitchen training sessions and team meetings.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper handling and storage of food.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Education and Experience Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred.
- Food handler’s certification is advantageous.
Work Environment
- Kitchen-based role with varying hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.

Wok to Walk started in 2004 in Amsterdam after a trip around Asia. We opened a tiny restaurant ’cause we wanted to have fun at work and cook the kind of food we’d like to eat in our hectic everyday: quick, fresh and yummy!
But things kinda got big and now there are more than 100 around the world. Our commitment and passion haven’t changed a bit since day 1: we stay true to our origins by offering delicious custom recipes and a great show!
