The Riviera Club is creating a new ala carte experience and you have the opportunity to be a part of building something special. The Riviera Club was established in 1933 and has one of the largest outdoor pools in the United States. As a Prep /Pantry Cook you will learn that teamwork, timing and communication are essential to everyone’s success. You may find yourself working a variety of stations and positions, as well as other culinary team members assisting you throughout the shift. All positions require great attention to detail, while maintaining a clean and sanitary station. Everyone is responsible for maintaining correct temperatures of food, as well as upholding all other health department specifications to ensure consistency, quality and safety of our food for our Members and guests. We take pride in the product we serve our Members and their guests!
A Prep/Pantry Cook’s Responsibilities Include
· Prepare a variety of cold dishes and occasional hot dishes
· Assume responsibility for quality of products served
· Arranging and garnishing dishes like food displays, carving fruit, and creating visually interesting bites
· Ensuring food is prepared in a timely manner and in accordance with local health and safety guidelines
· Maintaining a clean and organized work area (Including, but not limited to: assisting in sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning/sanitizing work stations, washing dishes)
· Reporting food inventory for timely ordering
· Use of a variety of kitchen equipment (ex. blenders, mixers, slicers)
· Managing spoilage
· Multitasking and assisting other areas of the kitchen to ensure a successful service
· Protect the Club and guests by adhering to sanitation and safety control policies
· Be a team player, lending a helping hand to fellow team members when needed
· Attend all scheduled employee meetings and maintain a positive attitude with a pleasant demeanor.
· Other duties assigned by the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Riviera Club Management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Prep/Pantry Cook or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility in scheduling
- Basic math skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to of 50 pounds
- Commit to 100% Member satisfaction, 100% of the time
Part-Time/Full-Time Positions are available for immediate start.
Compensation varies on skill level
