Prepress Technician - HumanHire

HumanHire is on the hunt for a Prepress Technician for one of our clients located in the Hauppauge area.

 The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of prepress processes and workflow, as well as experience with a variety of software and hardware. The prepress technician will be responsible for converting customer supplied digital files into print-ready production files for large format printing.

Responsibilities:

• Convert customer supplied digital files into print-ready production files for large format printing
• Build press specifications into the supplied mechanical files to produce final printable files
• Work closely with customer service and sales to ensure all customer graphic requests are followed in detail
• Assure the proper development of artwork from concept through proofing stage with consistency across Brands and projects
• Maintain a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs
• Troubleshoot prepress problems
• Stay up-to-date on the latest prepress technologies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field (preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in prepress
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail

Specific Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in prepress using Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator
• 3+ years of experience in large format printing environment

Salary: $25-$30/hr + unlimited OT

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
