Position Overview:
The Preschool Floater plays a pivotal role in supporting the seamless operation of our classroom environments. This position requires flexibility, enthusiasm, and a passion for working with children in a dynamic educational setting. The ideal candidate will assist in various classrooms, helping to maintain the high standards of care and education that Excel Prep is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of the STEAM-based curriculum under the guidance of the lead teachers.
- Provide support across different classrooms, adapting to the needs of each age group and teacher.
- Engage with children in a variety of activities, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
- Help prepare materials and set up for daily activities, ensuring the learning environment is organized and conducive to child-led exploration.
- Assist with classroom management, including observing and documenting children's progress and behavior.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities related to STEAM education and early childhood development.
- Maintain open communication with lead teachers, staff, and parents, ensuring a collaborative and supportive community.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and policies to ensure the well-being of all students and staff.
