SCHEDULE: MON-TH (3:45 PM - 2:15 AM)
To qualify for the hiring bonus, you must meet all of the requirements of the position, including 4 years of experience with operating an offset press (KBA).
What You'll Do
This position is a full-time permanent position in a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing of charitable and lottery gaming products, including pull-tab tickets (break-open tickets) and bingo paper.
This position will play a key role in printing high quality pull-tab products as well as producing a high-quality color reproduction of provided artwork, maintaining a low waste percentage and high output efficiencies through continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate must have experience with offset printing.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Highly skilled in operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of commercial quality, multi-color sheet fed printing equipment.
- Must be able to follow exact written procedures and specifications as it relates to pull tab game printing.
- Knowledgeable in quality control measures and procedures.
- Highly skilled in the use of color control densitometers, interpreting the data generated and the ability to make necessary corrections.
- Experienced in process improvement strategies, has the ability to analyze quality and production issues, suggest changes, and carry them out.
- Knowledgeable in all facets of production from design, layout, pre-press and post-press, to finishing and packaging of the product.
- Must be able to solve problems in a reasonable timeframe.
- Must be able to understand production demands and the effects the department has on upstream work centers.
- Direct the efforts of the helper assigned to the shift.
- Maintain consistent color control throughout each production run.
- Troubleshoot printing related problems and take corrective course of action.
- Maximize production output through continuous process improvement.
- Minimize production waste through continuous process improvement.
- Utilize all available process control functions that the press is equipped with
- Observe and follow job ticket instructions.
- Review and adhere to production schedules and suggest efficient changes where warranted.
- Continuous training of the helper to become a future Pressmen.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Demonstrate working in a smart and safe manner.
- Accurately complete work center time sheets by shift end.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience
- Technical training specific to responsibilities
- 4 years' work experience with KBA operation.
- May be responsible for supervising others
- Able to multi-task effectively
- Responsible for making decisions pertaining to success of job
