Preventative Maintenance Technician - Waste Connections

Murrey's Disposal , a Waste Connections company, has an immediate position open for a Full-Time Preventative Maintenance Technician to work on our fleet of garbage trucks and trailers in Fife, WA . Candidates interested in secure, steady employment are encouraged to apply.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
Overtime: Average of 3-10 hours per week
Compensation:
Starting pay: $29.00 - $30.25 per hour
Shift differential: +$1.50
Total starting pay: $30.50 - $31.75 per hour
Responsibilities Include:
+ Completes required paperwork utilizing thefleet maintenancesoftware program associated with repairing vehicles, documents parts usage, and accounts for repair times.
+ Ability to effectively communicate and understand service schedules and/or repairs
+ General shop maintenance/cleaning duties as needed
+ Equipment safety checks
+ Communicate with drivers for issues in the morning and afternoon
+ Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on DriverVehicle InspectionReports
+ Maintains a clean, safe work area incompliancewith corporate and OSHA standards.
+ Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of commercial vehicles, including yellow iron.
Qualified candidates must have:
+ Experience in commercial or similar repair field is preferred but not required
+ Willingness to learn new skills and a positive attitude
+ Driver’s license
+ Basic tool set and toolbox
+ Basic computer skills and ability to learn test diagnostic laptop and software
