POSITION SCOPE
The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and a commitment to safety, effectively executing routine maintenance to prevent equipment failures and minimizing downtime.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Routine Maintenance
Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on a variety of construction equipment, including but not limited to light plants, generators, water pumps, skid steers, excavators, loaders, bulldozers, OTR trucks, and cranes.
Inspect machines to identify potential problems before they result in equipment failure from regular
wear and tear
Visual Inspection
- Conduct thorough visual and inspections to assess equipment condition
Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance performed, and parts to use HCSS program
- Document any modifications to equipment or deviations from standard procedures
Collaboration and Coordination
- Communicate effectively with equipment operators and management team regarding equipment status and required maintenance
Safety
- Always adhere to company safety standards and protocols
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and spare parts
- Make recommendations for stocking necessary parts and tools
REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must be at least 21 years old
- CDL with hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain
- Valid driver's license and have a clean motor-vehicle record to meet company insurance guidelines
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of safe work policies, procedures, and practices
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Vocational training in the mechanical field is preferred
- Willing to work in a team environment
- Willingness to travel to other locations inside and outside the Phoenix metro area
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as necessary
- Comfortable working in varying work environments including outdoors and at constructions sites
- Individuals must be able to lift objects weighing 50 lb. on a regular basis
- Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned
