Job Description:
The ARM Group LLC is looking to hire a Preventive Maintenance Technician for one of our leading clients located in Barnwell, SC.
Key Responsibilities:
· PM work orders are assigned by the maintenance planner before PM.
· Must organize parts and tools before PM to execute work orders quickly and efficiently.
· Must inspect and replace mechanical components including gearboxes, chains, belts, bearings, pneumatic and hydraulic components, drive assemblies, and other mechanical components.
· Must complete project work to include welding, cutting, grinding, machine installation, organizing and inventorying parts, moving machinery, and building maintenance.
Professional Experience:
· Minimum two years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance.
· Experience in the repair of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical drive systems.
Education And Specialized Skills Profile:
· Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
· Basic computer skills to use programs for work order and parts management.
· Strong Electrical and PLC troubleshooting skills, and able to demonstrate each of those abilities.
· Strong Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Mechanical troubleshooting skills and able to demonstrate those abilities.
Environment And Behavioral Profile:
· Must be able to complete tasks with little or no supervision.
· Must be able to work in environments that include high temperatures and dusty conditions.
Linguistic Profile:
· The Maintenance Department embraces the diversity of languages, but most, if not all, communication verbal and written is preferred in English to complete the appropriate scope of work.
Mobility And Physical Requirement Profile:
· Travel required for training.
· The schedule is normally day shift Monday through Friday. Call-ins are required, as necessary. Schedules will change based on rebuild schedules.
· Be expected to stand for a full shift. Employees must climb stairs, walk, squat, kneel, or drive lift truck duties at variable frequencies.
· There is occasional lifting that may require handling components weighing up to 50 lbs.
· While performing the job duties of this job, the employee regularly operates HMI, communicates by talking on the radio, and walks constantly throughout the shift.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and walk and talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
· The employee must occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
· Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
· The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, temperature extremes, combustible dust fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
