Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for medical billing and coding? Clarkston Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Medical Biller and Coder to join our team at our Clarkston office! This is a fantastic opportunity to work in-office with a dynamic team committed to excellence in healthcare. This is not a remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate Coding & Claims: Assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes, ensuring each claim is clean and complete.
- Modifiers & Error Resolution: Apply appropriate modifiers, refile denied claims, and resolve coding discrepancies to optimize revenue cycle efficiency.
- Customer-Focused Support: Address inquiries professionally with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
- Patient Billing & Payment Processing: Resolve billing concerns, process payments, and prepare daily deposits.
What We’re Looking For:
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification, with a minimum of 2 years of experience (preferred).
- Thorough knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, CPT II, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Strong proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and administrative procedures.
- Tech-savvy with experience using word processing, spreadsheets, and inventory management software.
- A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Commitment to maintaining Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for accreditation.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time, roughly 8 hours a day
- Ability to lift to 15 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Full-time, in-office position.
