This allows them to build a trusting relationship more easily with their patients and provide a level of care and service that is different than what is traditionally seen in the community. As an employer sponsored clinic, it is not open to the general public.
Evernorth Workplace Care clinicians and staff emphasize quality interactions with patients, offering preventive care services and health improvement opportunities whenever possible. When patients need to see a specialist, our clinicians will refer to high quality providers, such as Cigna Centers of Excellence, Cigna Care Network physicians, or other quality networks. Combining clinical skills with caring staff using Cigna's integrated data, our clinicians provide holistic care, including primary care, acute episodic treatment, screening, coaching and preventive services that lead to optimal Health Improvement.
Schedule:
- This position has a schedule of 4x10, Monday-Thursday. No weekends or on-call.
Position Summary :
This Physician (Family Practice) will be employed by Evernorth Workplace Care and will be based onsite in our clinic in Clearwater, FL. We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for adults and children ages 3 and up. This is an exciting opportunity to practice quality vs. quantity-based patient care, based on evidence-based guidelines, and build wellness programs in an employer-based setting. There are no on-call, nights, or weekend hours. We see on average 2-3 patients per hour with emphasis on quality of care and closure of gaps in care. There is minimal if any insurance paperwork to complete. Practice is supported remotely by the Evernorth Workplace Care Regional Operations Director and the Evernorth Workplace Care Chief Medical Officer.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for providing excellent care to Evernorth Workplace Care patients in an outpatient clinical setting.
- Must be effective in unifying the business, operational, support and clinical arms into a cohesive team.
- We offer the opportunity to practice independently, utilizing state of the art Electronic Health Records and electronic prescribing.
- This physician can also be creative regarding the development of wellness programs.
- Serve as the collaborative physician for our onsite NP, if applicable.
Required Skills :
- MD or DO Degree required.
- Board Certification in Family Medicine.
- Active and unrestricted medical license, BLS, and DEA required.
- Good computer skills using MS Office Products (Word/Excel) and Electronic Health Records systems (Epic a plus).
- Excellent focus on the patient bedside manner and clinical skills.
- FL Physician Dispensing license a plus (or can be acquired).
- Fluent in Spanish preferred
