AirQuest Aviation is inviting all Flight Instructors who are interested in a contract position located at the Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport (KBTP) location to apply today. Please note this is not a direct employee position.

ABOUT THE JOB

Flight Instructors are responsible for teaching students how to fly in a variety of settings using methods that include textbook and web-based education, simulators and live flight training. In this contract position, your schedule will vary based on student schedules. The following list is not inclusive of all of the tasks that you will encounter, but is intended to give you a basic idea of what the job entails.

• Provide instruction in the classroom, simulator and live flight environment
• Training students in subjects such as aircraft systems, aerodynamics, handling emergencies, aircraft navigation and radio operation
• Regularly assess students to ensure successful progress through the flight course
• Report on students' progress
• Accurately maintain appropriate student records and report student progress through the flight course
• Meet with and recruit new customers, conduct tours and introductory meetings

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Our Flight Instructors provide a vital service to our students. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude to work with our team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Along with those qualities, the following are requirements of the job.

• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) SEL
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) preferred but not mandatory
• Current FAA Medical Certificate 3rd Class
• Excellent oral communication skills
