Key Responsibilities:
The Package Development Engineer provides technical expertise in the areas of design, development, testing and production scale-up of new packaging components, systems and processes. Leads projects with guidance of an experienced Packaging Engineer.
- Designs and develops packaging for medical devices
- Enhances and validates package components and packaging processes.
- Develops package testing plans and interprets results as required for various projects.
- Supports activities associated with manufacturing and testing.
- Provides troubleshooting in the resolution of packaging related issues in manufacturing and the field.
- Participates in process improvement or task teams.
- Participates and advises in decisions involving equipment, package design, cost saving and source reduction.
- Determines and coordinates physical testing to ensure product and package integrity for manufacturing through end users.
- Researches and catalogues packaging methods and techniques and recommends adaptations to meet variations.
- Builds technical competencies in packaging materials and processes used in all manufacturing processes.
- Participates and provides technical expertise for risk assessment and compliance assurance programs.
- Assure delivery of robust, cost effective, fully compliant packaging solutions that meet current and evolving customers' needs.
- Knows and follows all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintains the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times.
- Promotes and nurtures the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and compliance and actively supports our compliance program-related initiatives and activities.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent Technical Degree required
Required:
- 2 years of related experience
- Knowledge of package testing and laboratory test methods
- Managing high-level projects
- Problem solving Skills and the ability to work independently is required
- Team Player with a creative attitude
- 10% of travel is required
- This position can be worked remotely anywhere in the continental U.S
- The anticipated base pay range for this position is 61000 to 97750.
- The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
