About the Job
Our client, a cutting edge, high-quality producer of Honeycomb composites, is seeking an accomplished and innovative Chemical Engineer or Chemist with a strong background in the research and development of structural adhesives. This role will be instrumental in product development and project execution. Individuals in this role should bring a high level of technical knowledge and experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position will act as a scientific advisor on a broad range of technical and manufacturing issues and projects.

Qualifications:
- Subject Matter Expert in structural adhesives specifically to epoxy and phenolic chemistries.
- Strong background with adhesive bonding aluminum, polymer composites, and other structural materials
- Experience with application of these materials specific to Aerospace, Defense, or Transportation industries
- 10+ years of experience specific to Structural Adhesives research, development, and applications
- Completed 4-year degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- 15+ years of progressive work experience in the chemical field.
- Must be able to work independently.
- High analytical skills.
- Ability to find solutions to unusual and difficult problems.
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR Regulations. Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident ('Green Card').
- MS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or similar specialized field preferred.
- 20+ years of progressive work experience in chemical field preferred
