Principal Clerk Typist 1024-0005 - Erie 1 BOCES

Location: Erie 1 BOCES Special Education Services E1B Education Campus West Seneca, NY



Hours: 8:00AM – 4:00PM



Hourly Salary: $23.51



General Responsibilities:



1. Accepts dictation, transcribes and types correspondence, reports, notices and other written material as composed by the Director.



2. Maintains a regular filing system for Exceptional Education central Office data.



3. Processes incoming correspondence.



4. Places and receives telephone calls and other messages.



5. Orders and maintains supplies as needed.



6. Screens material submitted by staff members for compliance with procedures and policies before forwarding it to the Director for action or decision.



7. Maintains a schedule of appointments for the Director and makes arrangements for interviews, meetings, conferences and associated travel.



8. Processes various types of official organization, local, state and federal reports.



9. Manages budgets and CoSers including district participation.



10. Assists in the preparation of special reports and records - e.g., CoSer data, annual BOCES Goals and reports, Service Directory reports, budget reports.



11. Assists in the management and orderly function of the Exceptional Education Office.



12. Coordinates and complete all necessary contracts and incidental employment agreements for the Department.



13. Coordinates room schedules, agendas and other details for meetings, forums and other special events.



14. Prepares and processes reports to the Board of Education as requested.



15. Other duties may be assigned that are relevant to the Civil Service job description for this title.










Job Qualifications


Minimum Civil Service Qualifications: Must have received an Erie County Civil Service Canvass Letter for Principal Clerk Typist 66-544.



Additional Qualifications:





+ Solid experience as an Administrative Assistant in clerical skills and office management
