The Role:
As a Principal DevSecOps, you will be at the forefront of enhancing the security, reliability, and scalability of our client's cloud-based applications and infrastructure. With a strong focus on AWS native solutions, you will architect, implement, and refine cutting-edge DevOps and security practices. Your expertise will ensure the creation of secure and efficient environments that can scale seamlessly. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS tools and services, and a commitment to hands-on implementation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and deploy AWS resources using CloudFormation.
- Design, develop, and optimize highly secure and scalable CI/CD pipelines using AWS native services (e.g., CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy).
- Perform in-depth threat modeling for applications and infrastructure, identifying attack vectors.
- Regularly assess and patch vulnerabilities across all systems, focusing on automation to ensure seamless patch management.
- Implement and maintain automated monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using AWS CloudWatch and third party tools (Datadog, Dynatrace).
- Develop and implement automated solutions for security monitoring, vulnerability detection, and patch deployment.
- Ensure all processes and systems are documented and maintain a high level of operational transparency.
- Advocate and implement improvements to security practices and operational efficiency through automation and AWS best practice
Required Skills:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation or Terraform), with a preference for AWS CloudFormation.
- Deep proficiency with AWS native DevOps tools (CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy) for CI/CD automation.
- Experience with creating and managing AMIs, and containerization technologies (Docker).
- Strong background in AWS observability tools such as CloudWatch, alongside similar tools like Datadog or Dynatrace.
- Solid experience managing AWS resources with a deep understanding of AWS security best practices.
- Scripting experience (e.g., Bash, Python) for automating tasks and improving operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of AWS's Well-Architected principles.
