Role
We are recruiting a Principal, Digital Platform Engineering role within our Innovative Medicine North America & GCSO organization, with primary location based in either Titusville, NJ or Horsham, PA.
This role is a high impact position with the opportunity to help craft and shape our future digital landscape, with a best-in-class engineering approach at its core. You'll be able to own our strategy for how patient and HCP experiences are designed, architected, and developed following modern engineering principles and the latest technologies.
With a passion for delivering innovative technology, you will define our organization's engineering approach, lead teams to design and engineer systems that are robust, highly scalable, fault tolerant, and of the highest quality to ensure that the customer experiences we build work flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as full-stack engineering lead across our entire digital MarTech portfolio of products and microservices, integration strategy, architecture design, and industry practices.
- Use your extensive systems integration expertise to implement a loosely-coupled approach to connect our platforms and build a publishing model for our marketing content.
- Provide system architecture review and design patterns for our core microservices and define our headless content-based approach to serving personalized content and experiences to our customers.
- Enable greater CI automation and enact a set of controls for how we measure quality of output with the products and services we deliver.
- Work internally with peers leading other aspects of our digital strategy to help shape our future vision for enabling advanced capabilities of the platform (e.g. GenAI, Hyper-personalization, Automation).
- Be a champion of cultural change, process change, quality and skills training required to transform and scale the teams.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information science or related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- 6 years of experience acting as a lead, software engineer (or equivalent) is required.
- Experience designing and building large-scale systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment (Service Oriented Architecture).
- Experience with source code management tools using Git, such as Bitbucket.
- Familiarity with AWS and its services including, but not limited, to S3, API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, RDS, EKS, and Rekognition.
- Knowledgeable of content and digital asset management (DAM) publishing and syndication models using product suites such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and experience in publishing to RESTful and GraphQL endpoints.
- Proficiency in front-end frameworks such as React and Next.js.
- Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: TypeScript, Python, Node.js, and Rust.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and experience using tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred:
- Production experience with container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Knowledge in reliability engineering using observability and monitoring tools such as New Relic.
- Strong ability to mentor, coach, review, and grow technical teams and talent.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $150,000- $170,200 USD.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
