Your Day-to-Day:
The Engineer will be a Project Manager (PM) that will be assigned to the Auxiliary Equipment, Valves or Turbine Generator Procurement Teams. The PM will oversee a small matrix team consisting of Supply Chain Buyers, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Supplier Performance Engineering and will be responsible for the Supplier to maintain quality, cost, schedule and the technical requirements associated with the procurement of AP1000 equipment, products, and services. Positional scope covers the entire procurement process from coordinating with Engineering for the component design, Supplier request for quote, bid evaluation, purchase order placement through manufacturing and delivery of assigned equipment. The individual will also be requested to evaluate new and existing suppliers as requested by the Delivery Stream Manager to include interfacing with customers, manage multiple projects and reporting for future opportunities related to AP1000, AP300, eVinci and other products within the Energy Systems Portfolio.

- Supplier Assessment:
- Drive/Support Supplier Identification and down selection.
- Drive/Support completion of Supplier Audits and Technical Evaluations (as needed).
- Drive/Support completion of NDA/PIA negotiations (as needed).
- Lead Request for Quotation (RFQ) package creation (i.e., draft SAP requisition for RFQ including all technical and quality requirements).
- Lead Supplier Design Proposal / Compliance Matrix review meetings.
- Supplier Oversight:
- Creating the Manufacturing and Process Plan estimates for use in design option selection or validation of cost and schedule.
- Executing Supplier Oversight Quality Assurance (QA) Technical Witness and Hold Points.
- Supporting the project management team to interface with Supplier Quality support organizations.
- Supplier Development & Management:
- Create Agendas and Lead Kick-Off meetings with Suppliers.
- Conduct regularly scheduled meetings (e.g., bi-weekly, weekly, etc.) with Supplier and Westinghouse Project Support Team Members.
- Manage/Drive Westinghouse Project Support Team Execution.
- Manage execution of required Supplier QA Witness and Hold Points.
- Hold pre-job briefs and/or kick-off meetings for important/critical PO manufacturing activities.
- Drive/Support Purchase Order (PO) Change Notices (as needed).
- Provide periodic Project Schedule Updates.
- Provide periodic Customer Status Updates.
- Ensure all required Supplier PO scope is complete, including fabrication, testing and documentation.
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Power Engineering.
- Minimum 6 years applicable experience required; 8 plus years preferred.
- Experience preferred in the Power Generation or Nuclear Industries but could be in any of the following industries: Oil & Gas, Pipelines, Refineries, Offshore Oil Production Platforms, Ship Building, Manufacturing Plants, Supply Chain, etc.
- Be familiar with Manufacturing Capability Assessment concepts/Supplier Technical Evaluations.
- Fluent in English, secondary language skills a plus but not required.
- Willing to travel to support emergent project issues/supplier development.
- US Citizen. Candidate must meet the criteria for access to the company's, partners' and clients' technologies and meet import/export controls laws and regulations.
- Ability to Travel. 5-20% Varies by project demand. Mostly travel to Eastern Europe (Poland, Hungaria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic,etc.)
- PMP Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus.
- Mobile - Combination remote and office work environment. Negotiable, prefer minimum 2 days in the office a week for team collaboration.
