The Principal Engineer is a domain expert in DevOps tools and strategy. The engineer applies in-depth skills of the DevOps field to design and develop industry-leading platforms and solutions that enable software development across the enterprise. The Principal Engineer has a specific focus on content strategy, applying DevOps expertise to solutions that meed the needs of the constantly evolving Web Content Management and Digital Hosting space.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Apply CI/CD principles and tools within High-Performing Teams developing highly automated solutions for software build and deployments
+ Work closely with Software Engineers on High-Performing Teams, developing a deep understanding of the application architecture, guiding to software design and CI/CD managed delivery.
+ Shape enterprise strategy for content strategy automation. Work closely with key representatives across the company, understanding the needs of content strategy in each area, and developing solutions to automate content delivery.
+ Build features of the Developer Experience platform, with focus on the web hosting and content delivery.
+ Collaborate closely with cloud and digital web hosting platforms at J&J, providing input to develop new platform capabilities that enable content strategy.
+ Coach and trains junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
+ Be a leader in the DevOps, developing standards and best-practices of software delivery within DevOps
**Qualifications**
**Required**
+ Knowledge of software development technologies and platforms, APIs, and construction of reusable solution sets including object-oriented software development
+ Experience in at least one major CI/CD platform (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
+ Strong understanding of end-to-end software solutions
+ Advanced hands-on experience with modern-cloud infrastructures, Docker containers nd
+ Strong Experience with DevOps methodology and tools including code management (ex. git), work management (ex. Jira), automated testing (ex. Jenkins), code quality management (ex. Lint, Sonar)
**Preferred**
+ Knowledge of modern content management platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, and Content Stack.
+ Knowledge of modern frontend development frameworks such as Next.js and React.js.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $99,000 to $170,200.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
