The AWS Product Marketing & Thought Leadership team has a unique opportunity for an experienced leader to help develop and execute a communications strategy for the Sales, Marketing, Global Services, Industries, Partner and Startups, and Global Deal Strategy and Programs organizations. As a Principal, Field Communications marketer, this role will work with the Director of Integrated Messaging & Communications to drive employee engagement and alignment around the company strategy and priorities, including building the overall executive messaging and content for major events and employee touchpoints throughout the year. They will focus on assessing, building, and maintaining the mechanisms required driving that alignment and engagement, and will remain agile and support evolving business needs. This position will also work closely with the executive leadership team and the Global Internal Events team to determine the communications strategy for the organization.

This role may sit in either Seattle, WA or Santa Clara, CA USA only. Relocation offered to these locations only from within the USA only.
Key job responsibilities
- Work with the executive leaders from across Sales, Marketing, Global Services, Industries, Partner and Startups, and Global Deal Strategy and Programs to understand the vision and priorities for the organization.
- Partner with Program Managers from the Global Events team to define the agenda, session topics, and desired outcomes for the annual Leadership Summit and Kickoff meetings.
- Help lead regular working sessions with executive leaders and their assigned delegates to iterate on content for event keynotes, breakouts/workshops, and speakers. Ensure we are staying aligned to the key priorities and desired outcomes for each event.
- Manage virtual field communications team on building an annual communications strategy that drives employee alignment and engagement. Focus is on content development and reviews, speaker coaching, and overall communications before, during, and after key events.
- Develop ongoing measurement against the team's strategy and direction, and goals and objectives.

Basic Qualifications
- 9+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working cross-functionally with partner teams to drive adoption and usage of brand assets and messaging
- Experience in strategic marketing management and market analysis and demonstrated ability to build and execute a strategy with clear goals and objectives to align to business and service objectives, and support portfolio objectives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
