The Entra Identity Governance and Access Management team is looking for a Principal Group Engineering Manager to lead the Entra permissions management engineering team, who develop and support our cloud infrastructure entitlement management (CIEM) solution that provides comprehensive visibility into permissions assigned to all identities (users and workloads), actions, and resources across cloud infrastructures. The CIEM solution detects, right-sizes, and monitors unused and excessive permissions and enables Zero Trust security through least privilege access in Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The leader will need to partner with Microsoft 1P services, to grow adoption and gain inner ring validation for Microsoft's production estate. The product involves processing 7M+ audit events/day and peta-bytes of data across our 3P customer and 1P Microsoft while increasing reliability, and availability across the different providers. **Responsibilities**
This is a broad cross-team role with high visibility, collaborating with multiple teams across Microsoft. This person will:
+ Own the architecture, design, implementation of services for extremely high scale, throughput, durability, and low latency including service health, operations and service deployment with minimal manual engineer intervention.?
+ Lead the definition of requirements, KPIs, priorities and planning of engineering deliverables.?
+ Mentor and grow the energetic, diverse, and driven team with a good mix of senior, mid-level, and junior talent.?
+ Drive thought leadership for the least privilege access managementdomain and innovate with simple, scalable, reliable solutions
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 2+ years of experience Managing People Managers.
+ 5+ years of experience working on Distributed Cloud Services
**Other Requirements:**
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 4+ years managing people managers.
+ Enterprise Customer Engagement experience
+ Experience working for a fortune 500 company?
+ Experience working in the Security or Identity space
Software Engineering M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $161,600 - $286,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $209,600 - $314,400 per year.
