Job Title: HVAC Control Systems Programmer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Control Systems Programmer to join our team. This role will work closely with Project Managers to understand project scope, timelines, and technical requirements, programming and commissioning Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems to ensure optimal HVAC performance. You'll have the opportunity to troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues, perform maintenance, and integrate third-party devices into larger building systems.

This role will work closely with Project Managers to understand project scope, timelines, and technical requirements, programming and commissioning Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems to ensure optimal HVAC performance. You'll have the opportunity to troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues, perform maintenance, and integrate third-party devices into larger building systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Project Managers to understand project scope, timelines, and technical requirements.
- Program and commission DDC controllers to ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently.
- Write, test, and debug code for HVAC and building automation systems.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues to minimize system downtime.
- Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and company standards.
- Document development processes, code, algorithms, APIs, and system components for future reference.
- Integrate software components and third-party devices into larger building automation systems.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to improve system efficiency.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs based on software and engineering specifications.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Associate Degree, Vocational Technical Certificate, or equivalent industry experience in HVAC programming.
- Proven experience in HVAC programming, including writing, testing, and debugging code.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both software and hardware issues in HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with DDC controllers and building automation systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite and general computer literacy.
- A valid driver's license with the ability to travel to different project sites as required.
