Job SummaryProvide technical support in the Engineering Services department for the SalemPower Uprate Project.  The successful candidate will perform the duties as a System/Commissioning Engineer for the power uprate for Salem Units 1 and 2
The engineer is responsible for sponsoring and implementing power uprate modifications.Job Responsibilities• Assess the required scope of work and exploring various alternative solutions for required modifications.• Sponsor plant modifications through the plant approval process.• Fulfill the role of the system lead engineer for modifications.• Ensure adequate systems integration and fulfill the role of plant systems subject matter experts• Support changes to the Preventive maintenance and Surveillance Program• Identify Critical Spare parts• Support Operations and Maintenance technical procedural changes.• Prepare and/or support factory and plant startup testing• Interface with Project Manager to ensure that Engineering deliverables meet the overall project goals.• Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing and as-built verification.• Comply with regulatory requirements including 50.59, License Amendment Request preparation and any required supporting analysis.• Perform other assigned duties as determined by the Engineering Manager.• Assigned duties in the Emergency Response OrganizationJob Specific QualificationsRequired:• BS Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Controls or related Engineering or related technical degree with 13 years of experience performing related Engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry.• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical system engineering• Availability for shift work during installation. • Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.• Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record. Desired:• Power uprate experience at a pressurized water reactor (PWR)• Thermal performance modeling and monitoring experience• Professional Engineering license (NJ or other state)EducationBachelor in EngineeringDisclaimerCertain positions at the Company may require you to have access to Part 810-Controlled Information.  Under the law, the Company is limited in who it can share this information with and in certain circumstances it is necessary to obtain specific authorization before the Company can share this information.  Accordingly, if the position does require access to this information, you must complete a 10 CFR Part 810 Export Control Compliance Nationality Request Form, a copy of which will be provided to you by Talent Acquisition if an offer is made.  If there is a need for specific authorization, due to the time it takes to obtain authorization from the government, we will likely not be able to further proceed with an offer.PSEG is an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to a policy of non-discrimination in employment, including the hiring process, based on any legally protected characteristic
